ATA was engaged by the Sheridan Student Union to reimagine the Student Centre at the Trafalgar Campus, transforming it into a vibrant, flexible, and inclusive hub for student life. The revitalized design repositions the Centre as a central gathering place—supporting academic, social, and wellness needs through collaborative and multipurpose spaces.
The project oversaw the enhancement of key areas such as the open terrace, social lounges, café bar, study nooks, and accessible washrooms. Upgrades encompassed contemporary furniture, dynamic lighting, AV system modernization, acoustic improvements, and refined finishes that align with Sheridan’s evolving campus identity.
From the outset, ATA engaged directly with students to understand their priorities—collaboration, connection, and comfort. The result is a thoughtfully zoned space with adaptable layouts, diverse seating options, and inclusive design elements that respond to a wide range of user needs. Barrier-free access, intuitive wayfinding, and sensory considerations were integrated to ensure a welcoming and equitable environment for all.
This project reflects ATA’s continued commitment to creating student-focused environments that foster engagement, inclusivity, and a sense of belonging—values that have shaped our work with institutions across Ontario.
