ATA Architects Inc. is an award-winning architecture and heritage conservation firm with a legacy that spans over five decades. Established in 1971 and incorporated in 1982, ATA has grown into a multidisciplinary firm known for delivering innovative, enduring, and community-focused design solutions across Southern Ontario and beyond.

As a mid-sized practice with 30 dedicated staff, including licensed architects, project managers, and heritage professionals—ATA serves a client base that includes municipalities, school boards, universities, religious institutions, and private developers. Our broad service offering includes architecture, interior design, campus planning, feasibility studies, heritage impact assessments, heritage restoration, energy conservation research, and project management. Our areas of specialty range from educational and institutional projects to complex heritage rehabilitations, residential communities, and civic buildings.

ATA is proud to be a leader in responsible design and heritage conservation. We were early adopters of Building Information Modelling (BIM), and our ongoing research into prefabricated construction and high-performance building envelopes informs our forward-thinking approach. We have received numerous design awards for projects that reflect our commitment to both environmental stewardship and architectural excellence.

Our firm was founded by Alexander Temporale, a visionary architect, heritage advocate, and community leader whose passion for preservation and design continues to shape our ethos today. His legacy lives on in the many landmark projects he led and the culture of aspiration and integrity he fostered within ATA. We are proud to carry forward his commitment to design that is thoughtful, contextual, and enduring.
